Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol
'(Russian: Николай Васильевич Гоголь, pronunciation Nikalàj Vassìljevic Gogala) (Bol'šie Soročincy (Poltava, Ukraine), March 20, 1809 - Moscow, 21 February 1852) was a Russian writer and playwright.
